It represents the values and the culture of the Augustine Band of the Cahuilla Indians who run it, and it carries out a mission to create a sustainable lifestyle for the residents of the Coachella Valley. Temalpakh Farm embodies a way of life that will create a stronger community and a healthier planet for us all.

Temalpakh Farm is committed to creating natural, fresh food using sustainable farming practices. Our goal is to make nutritious food that is accessible to everyone, while also employing practices that protect the health of the land and ensure that it will provide for others for generations to come. We believe that we borrow the earth from our children – we do not inherit it from our ancestors – and our practices reflect that.

All produce is grown at Temalpakh Farm without the use of harsh chemicals or pesticides. We treat our products only with materials that have been approved and certified by the Organic Material Review Institute, and we do not include additives in post-production handling. We do not use GMO seeds or other products on our farm.

Everything that Temalpakh Farm grows is certified USDA organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). The farm has to meet rigorous standards for growing and handling produce in order to get these certifications, so you can feel confident knowing that any produce we sell is wholesome and nutritious. We also offer the Seven Feathers Guarantee that everything we sell – even the products that we don’t grow ourselves – is fresh and natural.

The Texas Peanut Board was founded back in 1969 and is funded by voluntary checkoff money. The Peanut Producers Board is the oldest agricultural commodity board in the state of Texas. We have nine directors and three staff members who work to support and grow the Texas Peanut industry.

Thermiculture Farming is a full service citrus and date farm management company, we farm (for our growers) 2,480 acres of citrus, mostly lemons, mandarins and grapefruit of that 680 acres organically and of that 170 acres is our own. We farm the largest organic date farming operation in the world with 4,600 acres of 100% organic Medjool, Deglet, Zahidi and Barhi dates. About half are sold fresh and half for food processing. Energy bars, Cliff bar, Luna bar and general mills are our largest buyers.
We operate our own commercial tree trimming / mechanical topping, hedging and shredding equipment, and our own green waste mulch application company applying over 35,000 tons of locally recycled and composted landscape green waste. In our sandy desert soils the bulky green waste helps with our water holding and nutrient holding capacities in our 0-.05% OM soils. We also produce our own compost tea to help supplement our mulch applications and overall nutrition and soil health. We produce 1,000 gallons daily during our season from February through July, supplying not only our own groves but others, and also including a few of the local golf courses.

As a leading Canadian supplier of food grade beans, Thompsons is well recognized by both domestic and international food companies. We have been exporting white pea beans to Europe since the late 1930’s and Special Quality White Hilum Soybeans (SQWH) since 1975 to Southeast Asia and Europe. England, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong are key areas of export.

Thompsons was the first grain elevator in the world to obtain SQF Level 3 accreditation.

With the abundance of genetically modified soybeans (GMO) in the market today, we supply our customers that utilize container shipments with Non-GMO Identity Preserved varieties. For those customers requiring larger volumes of over 10,000 mt per year, Thompsons have developed a contract program with our producer/growers which supplies specific varieties of approved soybeans that are non-GMO. These varieties are co-mingled and shipped via truck or rail to our designated ports for export via conventional vessel.

We have developed a Non-GMO manual which outlines the steps that we go though to ensure all possible due diligence is exercised from the seeding through harvesting, storing, and shipping to our designated ports. A copy of this manual is available, for viewing at our facilities.

John has been farming in North Central Montana for 13 years. John began experimenting with cover crops in 2012, and is now planting fallow grown almost exclusively with the goal of 100% in covers. John’s main crops include lentils, chickpeas, wheat and barley. John has farmed organic ground for the past three years, and is in the process of converting the entire 6,000 acre farm to an organic system.
